topic Experience Builder - Enable Client-side Query in ArcGIS Online Questions

In ArcGIS Online Experience Builder the map element can be configured to 'Enable client-side query' for improved performance.

Aside from a brief mention here, which i consider to be a bit vague, I am unable to find a detailed explanation of when it IS and IS NOT appropriate to use?

Are there specific widgets where its use is recommended?

Which data-related tasks perform faster?

According to the documentation above, the disadvantage of client-side queries is that map features take longer to load when you change the map extent. So, in all of our apps where there is a map of the country with various layers switched on and users pan and zoom to their area of interest - the map extent will be constantly changing. I would imagine this is the scenario for most people, so am i right to conclude that it won't be appropriate for this use-case?
