Problem with Feature layer (hosted) Field indexes

Hi, I noticed an issue this morning with trying to build Field indexes in Feature layer (hosted) under settings, Manage indexes. I try to build a full text index and, first of all, the screen looks differently than in the past, and then when I add some fields and create index, it says "creating index, this may take a while...." but then nothing happens! There used to be a progress bar along the bottom of the screen that would indicate when the process was done, but now nothing. The index doesn't show up. I have tried refreshing the page, nothing happens. Does anyone know what is going on with this?

What has changed with the July updates regarding bulding Field Indexes on Feature layer (hosted) items in ArcGIS online? There is no doucmention on the press release. Attention Esri, please address these concerns, without the Full Text Field indexes, the search funtion doesn't work properly.

Without knowing your data, this question can be tricky to answer.

A simpler question to answer: how does your organization's resource usage look? Index creation can take longer when your usage is at or near 100%. Here's how to read your usage chart: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/data-management/tracking-your-premium-feature-data-store-key-health-indicators

If this doesn't seem to be the problem because your usage is low, I recommend logging a case with Esri Tech Support so they can take a look at your specific dataset.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the experience you mentioned. Could you please recreate the full text index? The success toast should appear now.
