topic How to export a tile layer from AGOL? in ArcGIS Online Questions

There are a couple of hosted tile layers in my organisation's AGOL that I want to download. They have been created using tifs.

According to the Esri documentation there should be an Export>Export to Tile Package button on the item screen as with feature layers, but there isn't. I have also tried to run Create Map Tile Package on the AGOL layers from ArcGIS Pro but that failed with an error message about file type not supported, so I'm assuming the issue is related to the tifs?

So how can I download these tifs? Google suggests using the REST API but I don't have any experience of APIs so if there is a ready-made script somewhere I would be very grateful.

By the way I am an admin so shouldn't have any issues with access.

When I added tile layers to mine they also came through with a tile package. The tile package page does have a download button. Publishing through a tile package is good practice for the future. If you don't have that I believe you will have to use API.
