topic Nearby Instant App public use of credits for routing? in ArcGIS Online Questions

Hello all,

We are experimenting with the Nearby Instant App. We want to make this app Public. When I go to publish and share to public, I get a warning that I have to "Authorize premium content route service". And it warns me that "As a reminder, authorizing this content will consume credits based on the number of times your app is viewed."

Do you have more documentation about this? In all the Esri help docs and videos I have read/seen showing how to create a public Nearby Instant App it never mentions this. Feels a little sneaky.

How many credits are going to be consumed by the public when they open this Nearby Instant App?

Can I use my own geocoding service and how?

If I create this in Enterprise Portal, does it still somehow consume credits? There was no warning on that publication and it is public now.

Thank you,

A

Credits in Portal are only consumed if your portal is using services from AGOL and a tool is run using the AGOL service.
