Share map but prevent configuration changes

Can you share a map (with a group/organization) so people have access to it with map viewer but cannot change how the map is configured: layers/tables names, pop-ups, symbology, refresh rate and so on?

But they need to access the data/features of the layers/tables and edit features with map viewer.

Hi @mikaël,

One way that you could accomplish this is to set up the map with your preferred configurations in Map Viewer, then use it to create an app. There are several Instant Apps templates that support editing, including Sidebar or Attachment viewer. When you share the app with a group, the users in the group will be able to edit data, but not change any configurations on the map.

One last question: I just did a quick setup with the Manager Instant App to check how it works and everything, anyway to transfer the edit rights to the app to another person? One person could edit/configure it and others could only show the app.

Hi @mikaël,

You're right, the owner of an app is the one who can configure it. You can transfer ownership, but then you no longer own it.
