Searching by layer, not seeing all of the fields

Hi all,

In trying to make layers searchable I'm finding that not all of the fields are available as an option. Is there some reason not all fields are visible?

For a field to be searchable and, therefore, appear in the drop-down menu, it must contain strings or integers and not use a coded domain. Integer fields only support the Equals condition. For the best search results, choose a field with unique values.

Thanks. It seems like a shortcoming that you can't search fields that use coded domains.
