Shared map does not appear to others

I have created a map using AGO that I want to be able to share with my coworkers, however, even though I go to 'My Contents' and click share, and then check the box next to my organization, the map is not visible to anyone in the organization. I have also gone into each individual map and clicked the share button from that page. There appears to be a step I am missing/overlooking for my map to be accessible to my co-workers. Suggestions?

Can you provide a little more information....

Are your co-workers searching for the map using it's name? Are they looking for it in the gallery? Are they looking in a specific group you have set up and invited them all to?

Have you added your map to a Group then added your co-workers as Users to that Group?

When you share your map (I assume web map, not ArcMap MXD) to the organization, they should have access to it via any search, or if you send them the URL to the map. It will not appear anywhere for them in a browse mode, nor in their "My Content."

Also, verify that these users are members of the organization, and are not using free, public accounts.

yes, so much like jrflannery and timothieb mentioned, I went in under 'Groups' tab and created one, then I sent invitations to members of my organization. Only then was my map made visible to the group, it wasn't visible before even under search by name. Thanks yall.
