Distributed Collaboration and 1GB data size limit

Hello- wondering if anyone knows if it is on the roadmap to allow the distributed collaboraitions to support data sharing by copies larger than 1GB (or if there is a way to override that default in an AGOL to Enterprise 10.91 collaboration)?

"The feature layer exceeds the maximum item size of 1 GB, which will cause the item to be shared as a reference. To verify, enable INFO level portal logs and look for the log entry that indicates the size of the shared feature layer data item."

Appreciate any thoughts on this one.

I'd be interested to know this as well. 1 GB size limit is restrictive

Agree, this limitation prevents us from sharing a large portion of our data outside our organization with area business partners who would not otherwise have access to data/services behind our firewall.

How can we change the collaboration settings to allow large size portal items to be shared as copies?

Stop the Portal for ArcGIS Service
Navigate to C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\framework\webapps\arcgis#sharing\WEB-INF\classes\resources\
Open gw-config.properties in a text editor.
Find the collaborations.max-item-size-in-MB=1024 property entry.
Modify the value as needed.
Save the file and close
Restart the Portal for ArcGIS Service.

Worth noting this only applies to Enterprise and not ArcGIS Online, so is only useful when it's an Enterprise to Enterprise collaboration.

I agree. It continually baffles me that Esri will allow publication of large datasets through other means (publishing workflows, uploads, etc.) but distributed collaboration is handicapped at 1 GB. I have a couple of feature layers with attachments that I'd like to share to ArcGIS Online via a collaboration but cannot because of this size limitation.
