chart widget not showing dates

Hello all,

I'm creating a column chart based on related data and the chart is being generated fine and you can hover over the columns and see the column value. I have tried setting a date field to the Label Field but it is not showing the date. If I set the Label Field to be one of the

Has anyone else come across this where it won't display a date field? I have also tested this further and it seems to display a text field fine, but an integer field also failed to display...
