Layers adding themselves to other maps?

Hi everyone,

I am running into a weird problem. When I open a feature layer from "My Content" it keeps adding itself to either: a Web Map I was recently working on, or the last Web Map I looked at. Is there some way I am supposed to "close" a Web Map? I used to just navigate back to My Content and open something new in it's own Map Viewer with no problems. I am using the "Classic" Map Viewer.

Hi @LynneSabourin , yes, the default behaviour is to add to the current web map (with the current web map being the last one you had open). You need to click on the drop down arrow on the right, select Add to New Map:
