Raster / Vector publishing

We can upload a raster and vector product. In order to use them in a web service, we need to publish them. Does this require additional permissions or rights?

What products are you using?

1. Desktop (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro)

2. Web (ArcGIS Online/ ArcGIS Enterprise/ ArcGIS Standalone Server)

Do you also have a Desktop App (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro)? I hope the ArcGIS Online account is an organizational account.

For publishing, the user needs a Publisher, Facilitator or Administrator role.

For publishing certain type of image layers (Hosted Tiled Imagery Layers/ Hosted Dynamic Imagery Layers), an ArcGIS Image for ArcGIS Online user type extension license is required.

The on line account is organizational. The publisher role is set. I am determining the image layer type.
