topic Map Package Download in ArcGIS Online Questions

I have uploaded a map package to agol and I want to make it downloadable for my users. I thought I could just configure a pop up and attach the URL. However, I want to attach it to only 1 feature class. When I publish the map package, the URL created does not have a unique identifier I can use. I tried adding a hyperlink but it does not trigger the download. Are there any other ways to attach a file file download?

Thanks

Bruce

Do you mean an ArcGIS Pro Map Package?

And did you try using https://<web-adaptor>/portal/sharing/rest/content/items/<map-package-itemID>/data as the link? That is what triggers when you click "download" on the item's page.

As long as the users have access to the item itself, it ought to work.

I published it from ArcMap 8.1 to my Arcgis online account. What would be the map package item ID? I assume the web-adaptor is my online account address.

Yes, the package item ID. And the web adaptor is whatever you're using for your GIS Portal, whether that's AGOL or Enterprise.
