Public Information Map

I have been publishing maps using the Public Information map template in the web map gallery on ArcGIS Online. However, I have noticed that this template is no longer available. Any ideas as to why this is? Thanks.

The Public Information configurable app template is no longer being offered or supported as of the December 8, 2020 update to ArcGIS Online. Esri now recommends using the Media Map template. Short version is your existing maps will continue to operate, but Esri will no longer support the Public Information template or let you use it for new maps.
