How do I change the Group owner?

I am currently the owner for a Group. Is it possible to transfer ownership to a different user... one that is currently a member of the Group?

At this time, you can't transfer ownership of a group. This is an enhancement we're investigating for the future. There is no time table for its release, however.

Hi Mike Minami,

correct me if I am wrong.

This isn't possible only if your account is public and if you want to share with an external menber?

Because, as part of an organization (admin) I can change the owner and assign the ownership to other members.

(Member of the organization, not external AGOL member)

You are correct.

There is no ability to transfer group ownership to/from public accounts. If you have an organizational subscription to ArcGIS Online, administrators of the organization can transfer group ownership between members of the organization.
