Loading content online

When I load layer content via the My Content function on the online platform, I cannot seem to then be able find it to add it to maps and scenes. Is there a trick to getting the layer content to appear in the Add Layer section of the Map and Scene developer tools?

Have you published the layer from ArcMap?

Thanks Jayanta. Yes, I have published the layer from ArcMap. It uploads fine to the My Contents page but then can't be detected by Maps or Scene.

Also you can try add the layer using URL

from the hosted service copy the URL

and add this url on scene

Is "Within Map Area" box checked?

Uncheck Within map area if you don't want the results to be based on your current map extent.

Thanks everybody! It turns out that my local server was preventing some of the data from uploading properly, seems to be working now after some help from IT.
