topic Time enabled data in ArcGIS Online Questions

I am using the beta version of 10.1 to create maps which I then publish onto my arcgis.com hosted service. All works well except for the time anabled layers. These work as expected in Desktop, but the data is served as integer values when published - no time slider in Explorer Online.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you elaborate on how you're publishing your data? Are you doing this from ArcGIS Desktop and creating a feature service?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike -

I Have actually tried to do this two ways - both with the same results - no time aware data. I tried first to serve the data from Desktop 10.1 to ArcGIS.com and I tried saving the layer files to a zip file and loading into ArcGIS.com.

Rick

This help file documents our support for time layer.

http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisonline/help/#/About_time_enabled_web_maps/010q0000004p000000/

Basically, ArcGIS Server map and image services and KML. Hosted services don't support this.

Thanks,

Mike
