Error while Upload Shapefile

Hi,

I got a zipped Shape file, with all needed files in it.
http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisonline/help/#/na/010q0000006m000000/

When I try to upload it i get the error message:
"Error while analyzing shapefile 'Parkplätze_B.zip' Unable to extract shapefile"

edit: I tried to import the shapefile in the silverlight explorer.
edit: The error message only pops up, when i choose "Create Feature Service". Not if I choose "Save feature in map"
edit: of course I can´t use "Save feature in map" because it is limited to 1000 features

Whats wrong with the Zip File?

I can reproduce the error. We'll have to take a look at the shapefile.

Hi Mike,

I think figured it out.
There seems to be a problem with the "ä" in the Filename or somewhere in the Shapefile.

I exported the Features to a new shapefile without any of those crazy german letters 🙂 and zipped those 4 Files again.

I hope esri will support all those utf-8 letters...
