how do I save as a shapefile

Help! --I have a little map,

and would like to save the polygon as a shapefile, to use it to order a sat photo. How do I do this??

The vendor says that she cannot see geographical information on my file.

There is no capability to export a 'map notes' layer to a shapefile.

Anyone who opens the web map should be able to see the layer. I'm not sure why your vendor can't.

You could use ArcGIS Explorer Desktop to draw the same "Map Note" of your area of interest. Then right-click on the map note polygon and use the Share to KML to export your AOI.
