Changing field name in Interactive Legend App

The screenshot I have attached explains it best. The text highlighted in blue next to my cursor is the text I would like to change. I was able to do it once before, but I can't remember how. Is there a way to do this without going all the way back to my map in Arc desktop to change it?

You can change this by updating the layer name and saving it in the web map or on the layer item:

"VEG_NAME" is the name of the attribute field in which the cover type names are under. Can this be changed in ArcOnline?

Hi Evan,

This can be changed. Here is a sample App that I made from your web map:

You'll notice that in my app there is the word Vegetation instead of VEG_NAME.

What I did was updated the field alias in the pop up. You can also do this on the data tab of the layer so that the field alias' are human readable. Just make sure you save the field alias' to either the map or the layer.
