Selection Tolerances in ArcGIS Online

How do you set selection tolerances in ArcGIS Online? When I use a mobile device, it's nearly impossible to select a feature with my finger. Is there a setting somewhere?

I'm using an Android device to open my web map. I've tried:

opening the data as a web map (via the device's browser)
opening the data as a web map via the ArcGIS for Android App
opening data as several types of web mapping applications (the standard ones that Esri has)

In all cases, it's still near impossible to select any particular feature on an Android phone by using a finger. You have to hit it like 10 times before it's selected, which makes the product really unusable as a practical tool.

I hope that makes sense. I've no idea how to make the feature selection tolerances more forgiving so that the device can be used.

Were you able to make any progress? I'm having the same issue on my iPad. It is ok with a feature service or a layer from a map service, but a Map Service is next to impossible.
