Can ArcMap edit hosted feature services?

Hi:

ArcMap allows us to "Create Local Copy for Editing" from a hosted feature service but when synchronizing edits, we don't see any changes in the hosted service. Is it only ArcGIS for Server feature services that support this workflow in ArcMap?

Can you please clarify? I couldn't find anything in the doc that explicitly addresses this scenario.

Hi,
I'm a little confused. This workflow worked fine for me.
- ArcMap 10.1 with a Shape file
- Published it to my organizational account and created a feature service
- added the feature service to an ArcMap session.
- Created local copy for editing and starting an edit session
- added some features
- synchronized with server
- The new features show up in the service (both in ArcMap and in the ArcGIS.com Viewer)

One thing to check is to make sure you stopped editing and saved edits before calling sync.
