I am trying to use "the community basemap" in a number of projects but the overall performance in ArcMap, when accessing the community basemap from ArcGIS Online, is painfully slow. I tried a 'clip to shape' to reduce the community basemap to a small area/size but this doesn't seem to influence performance. Is there any way to really 'clip' Online maps and store them on my computer? Or are there any suggestions that might improve preformance?
