Problem adding map service from ArcGIS for Server

I have a simple map service (http://gis.tws.org/arcgisweb/rest/services/Demonstrations/WildernessBillsDemo/MapServer) published on our ArcGIS Server (v10.2), and I can't get it to display in an ArcGIS Online for Organizations web map. The service displays six points scattered across the United States. As you'll notice from the URL, we're using the Web Adaptor with security configured as shown in the following image.

My service is configured for public access.

My map-making process is

Add/Add layer from web

Specify my map service URL (http://gis.tws.org/arcgisweb/rest/services/Demonstrations/WildernessBillsDemo/MapServer)

Confirm that the type of data is set to "An ArcGIS Server Web Service"

"Use as Basemap" is unchecked

Click "Add Layer"

I get the following error message.
[ATTACH=CONFIG]31926[/ATTACH]

If I click the "View in: ...ArcGIS.com Map" link near the top of the service entry in the Services Directory (see following image), the service displays properly.
[ATTACH=CONFIG]31927[/ATTACH]

Is anyone able to explain this behavior and/or help me understand what I need to do to be able to add map services to an ArcGIS Online map?

it worked for me http://bit.ly/MLkZnl I created the map in firefox.

This is a weird error.

Are you trying to add the map service from within a map in AGOL (>Add >Add Layer from Web) or are you adding the map service in your My Content area? Try going to the My Content window and using Add Item to add your map service. I had similar behavior adding secure services. Can't to it within a map, but can do it in the My Content window.

Hi Mark,

Is your organization SSL only? It doesn't look like your server supports SSL. When attempting to add an http service when the page is SSL, the browser will usually block it and require you to manually allow mixed content. Each browser behaves differently though..and it's not very apparent that http content has been blocked. For instance, in Chrome, you'll see a small shield on the right side of the browser's URL bar.
