Metadata on html

Hi all,

I used my own items description for metadata at (x)layer.

later on , i need to export it to my desktop as html form or extension.

but, i the problem that when one use customize> ArcMap options >Metadata > Metadata Style: Item descrition

i can not export it on my desktop.

I tried to print it as PDF and convert it as html, but also this did not work because the file with html extension seemed un-vaild.

the above steps was used to use the file extension on other program "Geocortex"
