Seems like it should only show the map note symbols I'm actually using right?

Thanks,

Ben"

I am having this same problem.

Margaret

The only solution I know of is to save the map notes layer as a feature collection and then publish the feature collection as a hosted feature service. Add the hosted feature service to your map and you can then modify the style to remove or hide the symbols you are not using and do not want to display in the legend.

Best,

Kyle
