Portal, ArcServer, and Web Adapter Configurations

Good Afternoon:

New to Web-based GIS configurations and need some insight. If I want to deploy Portal for ArcGIS:

* Does Portal access ArcGIS Server services through the Web Adapter? or
* Does Portal access ArcGIS Server services directly?

If I have two Web Adapters, how should Portal be deployed and/or configured? Let assume that one Web Adapter handles Arc Server Services and the other handles other web services, such as SharePoint.

A High-level understanding will suffice, appreciate your insight.

Hi -

It is my understanding that the configuration you are asking about is supported. The idea being you can have two web adapters installed, one for Portal at the newer version configured on it's ports, and probably a DNS name, and then the other web adapter serving ArcGIS for Server.
