For Organizations Beta: Search Maps Web Application Template Problem

I'm trying to use the Search Maps Web Application Template but when I publish the application to my For Organizations Beta site, I cannot use the search function.

I can see maps on the left after I do the search but then I drag them to one of the 3 window panes and it never "takes".

What can I do?

Sorry for posting here, but I can't get to the 188 forum that Mike M suggested I go to. I called Esri tech support and they are looking into the matter.

How is your organization configured? All SSL? Are the maps you're trying to add part of your organization? I see this problem when the services inside the web maps are not publicly accessible or no longer exist.

Mike,

Yes, we are using SSL and yes, we would like to not make the maps public.

I guess that's a recurring issue that we are having is that we don't want some of this stuff to be public and the more security we use, the harder it gets.
