Remote server error

I just want to be sure I'm not missing anything. Within ArcGIS 10 Desktop, after signing in and selecting File>ArcGIS Online I get the error: "The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized." Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Are you going through a proxy server? There is an issue connecting in this case. Contact ESRI technical support for further assistance.

I have the same problem. Our IT networking staff verified that all firewall access is open. I am stuck and extremely frustated. Did you have any luck?
