WAB Filter widget doesn't work on join table

I have created a feature service in Arc server using a table joined to my dataset, here:

I created a web map here:

I wish to query my join table in the service using the Filter widget (upper left corner of app)

The query isn't working, also the attirbute table isn't working in the app for this dataset.

The web map seems to work fine, if a bit slow to load.

Is the filter widget just timing out before the table loads?

I have researched some and found that a hidden attribute in the service could prevent a table from showing, but I don't have any hidden attributes in the service.

Would appreciate any advice, thanks!
