topic Restricting Editing of Hosted Feature Layers by Web Map in ArcGIS Online Questions

Hello,

I have a map that I would like to be viewed by everyone, but only edited by a single group of editors. This group of editors do not a lot of experience in ArcGIS Online and I would like to make the process as simple as possible. That being said, is there a way allow the editors to directly edit a feature layer in an existing web map that is within their group, without having them have to open item details and then clicking add layer to map with full editing control? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Nick Spittlemeister

I would setup two different groups, one with editing of the wanted features activated in the webmap and one with the editing deactivated in the webmap.
