Cannot Add Feature in Map Viewer

A feature service I created in ArcMap, named "treeinventory", is used in ArcGIS Online to create a web map, "...with editing enabled", but cannot create new features in the mapviewer, is there something I am missing?

Under the "Edit" tab, within mapviewer, I select the feature type I want to add and then click on a location but nothing further happens. No feature is created.

I appreciate any help or advice, thank you

Is it possible to share the link to the service?

Have you opened the developer tools and checked the network traffic for any errors?
