Importing Map Service from My Content

Hello
I have created several maps that each contain a bus route and bus stops associated with that route. I would like to import each map into a new map, thus giving me the option to select / deselect each route + stops individually. I am having difficult locating the maps once created...they simply do not appear when I search. If anyone has a good idea of how to go about this, please let me know.

I'm not clear on exactly what you're trying to do. How are you searching for maps? They should be listed in My Content. If you are trying to combine web maps together, there really isn't a way to do this. You need to author one map and add your layers to it.

I'm attempting to create a map that has multiple maps inside, yes. I was under the impression this was possible because of the results provided when searching for layers that can be added (results display complete maps that can be added initially). What I would like to do is add 10 maps, or somehow create 10 layers that can be added. Each layer included point and line shapefiles.

This is what I currently have. What I would like to do is seperate the stops into seperate shapefiles and combine them with the appropriate route. Then, when selecting a layer, only the affiliated stops and routes will be displayed. My guess was taht it was possible to create a map for each route and stop, and add the 10 different maps into a single map.

I have attempted using the group layers service provided by ArcGIS 10, but once Online I cannot add the grouped layer. Is there any way to go about this, or am I stuck using an individual route layer and stop layer for each colored route?

Here is a map that has a map servicing and areas of unemployment.
There layer of high speed rail corridors has two features inside of it, and the selection of unemployment areas is seperate.
What I would like to do is grab the map of each route (with route and stop features inside of each map) and combine them into one map.

There isn't a way to do what you're trying to do with shapefiles. Each shapefile is separate. Route lines and stops can't be combined in the same shapefile. Also there is no way to group a set of layers in the web map.

The only way to do this would be to author a map service that combined your data into a service. I assume that's what's happening in the second map example you posted, but unfortunately, that map is not public and I can't view it. Currently, the only way to author a service is with ArcGIS Server. Shortly, we will allow you to create a service in Esri's cloud, by purchasing a subscription to ArcGIS Online.
