Group invitations

For six months i have had notifications that i'm invited to join 3 different groups. The notification states:

You have been invited to join the NISC - E&O group on 8/25/2011.
Go to the Groups tab and click Invitations to view the invitation.

But, when I go to the groups tab, for the life of me i cannot find the 'Invitations' tab/button to view the invitation, therefore I cannot accept the invitation.

Any ideas?

Notifications never get removed unless you remove it. The group may have been deleted by its owner, in which case the invitation would also be removed (but the notification would remain). Did you join the group already? Again, the notification will remain after you've joined the group.

I'm having the same problem. I received notifications to join two different groups. These groups exist and I have not joined either. When I click on the "Groups" tab from the top menu, I don't see any link to "Invitations". Can you describe where I should see it?

Our database shows two notifications for group invitations. It looks like you are a member of one of the two groups already, so you have accepted the invitation. Is it possible you declined membership in the second? Or if you had accepted, you could have been removed from the group by the owner. Once an invitation is accepted or declined, it is removed from your pending invitations.

In any event, perhaps you can ask the group owner to invite you again. If you experience the same trouble, perhaps you can work with the group owner to document the workflow so that we might troubleshoot this further.
