Original User: samlarsen

Hi,

I am attempting to post a link to a group content page:
http://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?owner=samlarsen&title=OSM-GB

Currently (at the time of writing this post) there is only GIS content in this group.

By default (in all 5 major browsers - after clearing all cookies) the content page will show 'Web Content' only until the user changes the content display using the drop down at the top of the page to show 'All Content'

The action of changing that drop down then sets a cookie in the browser which stores the content mode preference:

Which is a URL encoded json object which is set to either: {"contentMode":"Web"} -OR- {"contentMode":"GIS"}

If i post a link to my group somewhere on the internet I have no control over whether the user is able to see my GIS content by default. Which effectively means i have to post my link with an explanation of what to do in case no content shows up in the list of content. It looks bad if i post a link to a list of content that the user can't actually see and new users to the arcgis.com platform won't know about the content type filter at the top of the page.

It would really help if i could use a url parameter to explicitly show all content (or just web content for that matter). For example, the url stated above would change from this:
http://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?owner=samlarsen&title=OSM-GB
To something like this:
http://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?owner=samlarsen&title=OSM-GB&contentMode=All

Does this functionality already exist? Is it documented anywhere? Or can it be added to the platform?
