I was thought that if you published a Feature Service to AGOL for Organizations you can edit the layer using any client, i.e., web browser, mobile devices, and Desktop. I know for a fact that accesing the FS through my web browser (web map or web app) I can edit the FS, as well as through my mobile device (iPhone or Android).
