Remove Duplicate Labels in Web Map!

Please allow for a 'remove duplicate labels' option in the web map builder. When publishing from arcpro, even with duplicate labels removed, duplicate labels are shown in the arcgis online web map. When configuring labels, it would be nice to be able to have that option in the web map itself. Or, at the very least, maintain that setting when publishing from Pro.

That setting relies on the application's label engine, so the only way to retain it is with a Map Image layer of some kind. If having proper labels is important enough, could you publish a map image layer separately for them?

Are there any differences between the duplicate labels' features? Perhaps an attribute-based filter on the label classes could help?

Hi Marie!

Seems we are having similar issues. I agree that ArcPro to ArcGIS online should be able to display the label settings we set in ArcPro. The example I have on my post used to display the labels how I had them in pro for about a year and I made a change to one attribute in my shapefile and when I saved the webmap for some unknown reason the label display could no longer be supported.
