idea See where a layer is used in ArcGIS Online Ideas

When cleaning up in AGOL at the end of a project, it would be super useful if there was an icon for "in use in a storymap" in the content list, and even better - if there was information about where a layer is in use in a webapp or storymap, if you click on a layer and view layer information.

The only way I can check it now, is to look at the "usage" tab inside the layer info, and see if there is any viewing activity for the layer - but that only works after the storymap is made public, so it does not make it possible to clean up before publishing.

This would be very time saving and would make it so much easier to organize an AGOL accounts content.

This is an excellent suggestion and something that should be very easy to determine on the AGOL side.

I didn't realize your post existed, but I just posted a very similar idea. This would be so helpful!
