Coming from the 2012 DevSummit it was announced that a new ArcGIS Office Plugin wil be released this year.

I think it will be a great idea to develop an ArcGIS Online Wordpress Plugin in order to leverage the vast ammount of Wordpress blogs out there.

The plugin should be able to connect to our ArcGIS Online user account, and provide an easy to use interface to create an post or a page within Wordpress Desktop.

Google Maps has already one in place: http://www.geekmods.com/2011/11/26/the-best-google-map-wordpress-plugins/

Why not for esri users?

Thanks for link to my Dev Summit Lightning Talk. Just a small correction, my name is actually David Hansen and I work for GEO-Jobe GIS Consulting. We will be announcing more news on our progress with integrating WordPress and ArcGIS Online pretty soon and I will leave a link in the comments here once we do. I hope our work can be helpful to some of the GISers out there that are also WordPress users. 🙂
