Custom short URLs for map apps

It would be nice to have the option to set an easy-to-remember, tidy, short URL address for map apps. For example, instead of this:

http://myOrg.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=SomeRandomAssortmentOfCharacters

I would like to be able to direct people to

http://myOrg.maps.arcgis.com/MeaningfulName

As it is now, I'm using third-party sites like tinyurl.com to create user-friendlier URLs for sending links to our apps. We shouldn't have to do this.

This is a great idea and we have resorted to using tinyurl for this exact purpose.

This has got to be one the best and easiest ideas to implement! I have had this EXACT idea too for some time, so I am glad that @KirstenHazler wrote this up! I can't believe that it has been on here since 2018 and hasn't gained more traction. C'mon Esri!!!
