idea Filter Widget overrides Visibility Range in ArcGIS Online Ideas

I think it would be nice if there was a checkbox in the filter widget that allowed the filter to override the set visibility range. Basically I have an application that has several points across the whole city, I want my filter highlight a certain attribute, but if my visibility range is turned on, then it does not display in my application.
