idea Relate spatial data to tabular data. Tabular date = one. Spatial data = many. Table→ spatial in ArcGIS Online Ideas

I have a table related to points in a one to many relationship class. I want to create spatial features related to my tabular features that already exist. I can see the related spatial features if they're already created, but I can't create new spatial features and get them to relate to my tabular features. This would be a huge improvement to my workflow. Especially for my volunteers who just want to create points on a map that relate to people of interest in their research.

I've tried doing it in arcgis pro: I can relate a spatial feature, have it selected, then relate it to the tabular feature (as long as the spatial feature is selected. I cannot create a new spatial feature with just my tabular feature selected)

The same problem exists in experience builder. I have a tabular feature selected and cannot create a related spatial feature from it.

However, oddly, I am able to complete the workflow in Map Viewer. I can select a tabular record and create a related spatial record no problem. If I'm able to do it in web map, but not arcgispro, or experience builder, I can't understand why. The functionality exists -somewhere!

If anyone has done this successfully, please share your genius. I feel like I'm missing something because to me, this seems like a simple workflow.

Many thanks!

Allison
