idea Edit feature layer on its own in ArcGIS Online Ideas

I wish I could edit (change, expand) a feature layer on its own. Now I always have to open Map viewer, and when I edit the feature layer it edits in a new map. It's also confusing because you see a exclamation mark to save your work, but then you are saving the new map. It appears feature layers are saving automaticaly. But any style changes made in the feature will only apply to the new map.

Hi @MikeHorree,

If you want to save properties you've configured on the layer in Map Viewer, such as styles, pop-ups, labels, forms... You can choose Save in the overflow menu next to the layer name. That way they are all set up for you the next time you add that layer to a map.
