idea Allow feature layer views to retain table configurations when the source is swapped in ArcGIS Online Ideas

I have several feature view layers in ArcGIS Online shared publicly through ArcGIS Hub.

Periodic updates require us to update the source by swapping it with another hosted feature layer using this process: Swap the source of a hosted feature layer view—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation.

I have made some improvements to the view layer by adding the following configurations to the table view:

field aliases

field descriptions

field value types

Attribute table in ArcGIS Online

When swapping the source with a newly published hosted feature layer, these configurations are lost. The view seems to take on the configurations of the new source layer. I would prefer to keep the configurations applied to the view layer since it gets updated regularly.

IDEA: Is it possible to enable an option to retain these edits to the attribute table on the view layer, even when the source layer is swapped?
