idea Map Scale Slider in ArcGIS Online Ideas

The biggest complaint I get from my Portal users is the lack of control they have over the scale of their map. Many of the users export pdfs of the web applications we I've built for them and more often than not, the preset map scales cause the pdf to either be too small a scale or too large.

What I envision, rather than using the scroll wheel or track pad to adjust scale, give us the option to implement a slider bar with the option to input an exact scale if need be. Even just the input option would be a tremendous QoL improvement. We have the option in ArcGIS Pro as it is and it seems to be partially implemented in AGOL/Portal in the visibility scale.

What the heck is a County scale?

One possible workaround is using the print widget in Experience Builder. You can let the users set up their desired scale.

I do agree that this is a badly needed functionality in Map Viewer, but in the meantime, try this out.
