Often the easiest thing to do is to delete all of the content items that got created on ArcGIS Online, and then share or upload again. With the new Recycle Bin (yay!), you now get an error about the service name already being in use.</P><P>With the Recycle Bin in place, when you delete a feature service from your Content, it still retains its claim to the service name, until it is permanently deleted from your Recycle Bin.
