It would be great to be able to add an existing feature layer or table into an existing hosted feature service without exporting and overwriting within ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro. This will enable those without access to a desktop app to be able to add these and also then enable users to add relationships using the python script:

At the moment, the update tool only allows you to add or update existing layers within the hosted feature layer

You can create Feature Layers and Tables in an existing Feature Service using the ArcGIS for Python API, see this thread here for some info on how to get started https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-api-for-python-questions/how-to-programmatically-create-a-service-and-add/m-p/1301471#M8810

Yes, but this requires you to know the ArcGIS for Python API, which is not really common knowledge, especially for people just starting up with GIS. I get raised eyebrow a lot when I say that you either need python knowledge, or buy ArcGIS Pro just to be able to add a new layer into an existing feature layer.
