POST request works if I use our Portal's administrator account...

Not sure now why only the portal administrator account has the capability of sending the POST update to the web app item - the user account I used earlier is an administrator account.

I'm trying to update the text of a story map that resides in our Portal (which is federated with our organization's ArcGIS Server). I'm using python to construct and issue the request (similar to this discussion ArcGIS Portal REST API -Upload a web map definition through the ArcGIS Portal REST API ). I can retrieve information about items but I have yet to successully use the Update operation on the item, getting the {"error":{"code":403,"messageCode":"GWM_0003","message":"You do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation.","details":[]}}

I am making sure that the story map is editable by my user account, as well as ensuring that the request made is a POST request. Furthermore, I have tested on a story map on ArcGIS Online successfully with the exact same procedure.

Help me Heiko Heijenga, you're my only hope!

Any information or assistance by any other user with this same issue would be extremely appreciated!
