    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Jay,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You will not be able to perform the join to the map service.&amp;nbsp; You will need to perform the join to the actual data.&amp;nbsp; &lt;A href="http://epro.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=16e5cc64178941839eca62837f168ec9"&gt;Here &lt;/A&gt;is a tool you can use to download the data from the Map Service.&amp;nbsp; Once it's downloaded, you can then join the table to feature class, and then re-publish as a new map service.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Map Services and Joins.</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have access to a basic Map Service.&amp;nbsp; I also have a dataset/table with a bunch of additional information.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Can I join this Map Service with the table, register it in AGO and use it in a AGO template?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In JavaScript API.&amp;nbsp; Can I do this join and then have the data available in my JS App?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I found a sample on github, but it looks like it connects to a File geodatabase.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't know how you can relate two map services even if one is a table.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://github.com/Esri/developer-support/blob/master/web-js/join-data-source/JoinDataSource_Final.html"&gt;https://github.com/Esri/developer-support/blob/master/web-js/join-data-source/JoinDataSource_Final.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
