Network Junctions Not Editable in Pro

Hello, we have always been able to edit network junction points manually in ArcMap, however when we moved to Pro, this functionality seems to have gone away. We can edit source features, but the junction points can't be deleted. Any ideas or suggestions?

I presume you mean points in the system junctions feature class that is automatically created when the network dataset is built. These should not be editable because they're managed by the build process and should not be touched by the user.

If you want to control the location and properties of certain junctions, you should create a separate point feature class in the feature dataset and add it as a junction source to the network dataset.

Hi Melinda, yes the junctions that are automatically created. We have had to edit these manually in the past as sometimes extra junction points are created where they shouldn't be and a rebuild of the network does not get rid of them. For example, sometimes if we remove a street from the network and rebuild, the junction points will remain and not go away with the rebuild.

That is strange and sounds like a bug. If you run into that situation again in Pro, it would be great if you could send us your network so we can take a look at what's happening. (Have you ever seen it in Pro, or was it only in ArcMap that you used to see this?)

One thing you can try if you see this problem again is to force a full rebuild of the network. (Normally, when there are only a few localized edits, the network does a quick, partial rebuild.) Use the "Force Full Build" checkbox on the Build Network tool to make it do a full rebuild.

We are currently migrating our network to Pro in hopes this issue goes away. If we see it again, we will definitely reach out. Thank you!
