For some reason, the directions option is grayed out. I can do everything else with the network dataset but the directions option when creating the network dataset is disabled. Are the directions enabled? If not, then click on the Directions button and set at a minimum the field from which the street name for each edge will be populated. When I create the network dataset using the wizard, the option to use directions is grayed out. When I go to the properties of the network dataset and click on the 'Directions' tab, all options are grayed out.
